I'm not a tech so I need some help from somebody who would know. I have a '71 GU-12 and I'm currious if the amp is a cathode biased or grid biased amp? I've heard 2 different answers so I'm left confused. Anybody know for certain?

Thanks in advance
Hello Hepcat59! The Gu12 has a cathode biased power section. While it was introduced in the late 1960s when Ampeg was doing mostly fixed bias designs, the circuit was reused from the ac-12 accordion amp. I think it’s about 18-22 watts if memory serves. Great little amps!
